Fluffy Buttermilk Biscuits

Yields: 6 Servings

I enjoy making homemade baked goods.  One of my favorites are my Fluffy Buttermilk Biscuits.  These biscuits are quick and easy to make.  The key ingredient is the buttermilk.  It makes the biscuits rich and satisfying.  These biscuits are dropped on a greased sheet pan like cookies and don’t need to be kneaded or rolled out.  They bake in a hot oven of 450* for 20-25 minutes and will give your kitchen that wonderful baked biscuit smell.  Happy Cooking!

  • Preheat oven to 450*. In a mixing bowl add the baking soda and the flour. Using a whisk, mix them together. Place the butter in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high for one minute. Set aside and let cool slightly.
  • Add the buttermilk and vinegar to the flour in the mixing bowl. Using a spatula start mixing the ingredients together. Then, add the cooled butter to the bowl and continue blending until it forms a smooth paste. Keep turning the dough so it picks up the flour on the bottom of bowl.
  • Spray a cookie sheet with Pam spray. Using a 1/3 cup measuring cup, measure out the biscuit dough and drop circles onto cookie sheet. Place biscuits close together. Flatten out biscuits using spatula.
  • Bake biscuits in a 450* oven until lightly browned and cooled through for 20-25 minutes. Serve warm with butter.
